Some good friends recommended a TV show for me to watch, The Curse (on Paramount). One of it’s creators is Benny Safdie and it reminded me of another pseudo reality piece the Safdie brothers put together a few years ago - Q&A with Adam Sandler.

This is set up as a way to candidly film Adam Sandler for a Q & A about Uncut Gems (a bonus on the Criterion release). For an experimental lark, it’s damn entertaining and an excellent showcase of how to grab cinematic coverage with no lighting, using good composition, lenses and sticking to a well conceived plan (also a really nice grade).

If you want a movie recommendation. Parthenope is free to air on Kanopy. Paolo Sorrentino does Paolo Sorrentino things and it makes you wish you were on holiday in Italy for 2 hours - don’t overthink it.
