This week, Gone Girl by David Fincher. So so much funnier than I remember. First time around, not knowing what happens in the end, watching it on the big screen, Fincher laying on the suspense thick, I enjoyed it a lot. On a second viewing you really get to enjoy the dark humour that is ingrained into this pulpy mystery. The casting is superb, Affleck at the time divided opinion (he was just cast as batman, so the internet loved that), Rosamund Pike had not played anything like her character of Amy, Carrie Coon is superb, Neil Patrick Harris is an excellent super creep even casting Emily Ratakowski, who was cast specifically by Fincher as he knew certain audience members would hate her. It’s a 10 out of 10.
